Werkstätte Hagenauer

The brothers Karl and Franz Hagenauer took over their father’s metalworking business around ca. 1918 and helped the traditional Viennese company to international fame with their timeless designs. Today, the objects from the Hagenauer workshop are traded as collector’s items, and hand-chased sculptures in particular are in high demand. The clear, strict language of form, the poses and the use of brass, copper, alpaca and exotic wood are typical characteristics of art objects from the Werkstätte Hagenauer.
