Description
Franz Hagenauer saw himself first and foremost as a sculptor and developed his own unique style from a young age. Using his stylized formal language, he created an impressive variety of sculptures, often featuring the female body in various expressive poses.
The female nude “Maid” features a freestanding figure in symmetrical composition. Her long, slender body, with arms confidently extended outward, exudes remarkable tension and elegance.
