Art Nouveau revolutionized design and artistic production with its flowing lines, floral motifs, and the seamless fusion of art and craftsmanship—remaining to this day a symbol of timeless elegance. Nowhere did the style take on more distinctive forms than in Vienna, where the Wiener Secession and its leading figures—Gustav Klimt, Koloman Moser, and Josef Hoffmann—played a central role in making this modern movement the dominant artistic force at the turn of the 20th century.
