    Description

In broad, diagonal bands, this early Phenomen Gre drapes itself over the entire vase, wrapping around its balustered, quadruple-indented form. Its undulating interwoven threads create an almost fabric-like quality to the design. The silvery blue pattern wraps contrastingly over the metallic purple ground. The Genre 7506 phenomenon is one of the rarer decorations and is a vivid example of the Loetz Glassworks’ eagerness to experiment from before its participation in the Paris World’s Fair in 1900.
