    Description

The great success of the Loetz glassworks at the Paris World Exhibition in 1900 can be attributed primarily to the colorful, radiant decorations that would later become known as the so-called “Phenomen Genres.” The combination of numerous decor variations with sometimes extravagant vase shapes also contributed to the popularity of Loetz’s art glass. Our vase on Thea ground captivates with its vibrant, golden shimmering decor and the wave-like pattern, beautifully accentuating the goblet-shaped body. From top to bottom, the vase is continuously overlaid with red and silver bands, cleverly highlighting the design of the vase.
