    Description

Among the most significant glass objects produced by the Loetz workshop are those created in collaboration with E. Bakalowits Söhne. Our large Johann Loetz Witwe bowl was designed for this renowned Viennese glass publisher and is documented in the catalogue of pattern cuts. Its Olympia Streifemarelé decor, where greenish glass is delicately overlaid with pink tones running from the top, is attributed to KolomanMoser.

As a professor at the School of Arts and Crafts in Vienna, Koloman Moser profoundly influenced an entire generation of designers and architects. Under his guidance, Moser and his students produced innovative glassware that became emblematic of the modern aesthetic of the time.

The bowl, pre-blown in a ribbed mold, stands out for ist clear, minimalist form. The color gradient gracefully extends over the honeycomb-textured walls, adding subtle depth and visual intrigue to the overall design.
