    Description

In the work of the Hagenauer brothers, depictions of dancers played a central role from the very beginning. The figure captures a moment of dynamic Flamenco dance.
With one hand placed on her hip and the other elegantly extended forward, the dancer raises her skirt to emphasize her rhythmic footwork and intensify the drama of the performance. This characteristic gesture highlights both the feminine elegance and the powerful passion of the dance. She wears a flat hat with a wide brim, the so-called sombrero flamenco, and her hair is gathered into a knot at the nape of her neck.
The figure is a masterful combination of finely carved wood and cast brass, with the details of the blouse and hair meticulously chiseled. Her dramatic posture captures the passionate and expressive essence of Flamenco dance in an impressive way.
