    Description

The collaboration between Johann Loetz Witwe and the glass publisher E. Bakalowits Söhne spanned an impressive three decades. However, the most significant works in terms of art history were created during the peak period from 1900 to 1903.
Our pair of vases originates from this creative era. They feature the Syrius decor, designed exclusively for Bakalowits & Söhne around 1900 by Antoinette Krasnik, a student of Koloman Moser at the Vienna School of Arts and Crafts. This design captivates with ist delicate colour gradient, transitioning seamlessly from a greenish-transparent hue to a pinkish-purple tone.
The glass was initially pre-blown in a twelve-part ribbed mould. The fan-shaped openings were then skillfully free-formed, each with four spouts, resulting in the vase’s striking and unique silhouette.
