    Description

Between 1925 and 1935, the production of Karl and Franz Hagenauer’s small brass figurines reached its peak. Metal casting allowed for serial production, with each raw casting being meticulously refined by hand. Many designs were later nickel-plated to create the appearance of silver. From the 1930s onward, the collection was further expanded to include wooden figures.
In the Nude with Panther sculpture, nickel-plated brass and dark-stained precious wood come together, creating a striking contrast of materials and colors. The elegance of Art Deco is reflected in the elongated, striding figures: the woman forms a gracefully curved vertical line, while the panther’s posture follows a sleek horizontal movement. A metal collar with a movable chain links the two figures, emphasizing their compositional unity.
