The Hunt Franz Hagenauer Werkstatte Hagenauer ca. 1937

Blowing his horn, the rider leads the hunting party, while the dogs excitedly prance around his horse. One of the hunting dogs has already taken up the scent and drives the hunt up the slope. High on horseback the others follow cantering. An elegant lady, sitting in a side saddle, also participates in the manorial amusement.
This large hunting group from the Werkstatte Hagenauer is designed with great liveliness and loving attention to detail. Elegant and playful at the same time are the animals, while the rising wooden plinth gives the parforce-hunt additional dynamism. As usual, the figures in cast and patinated brass are of very high quality.
