Standing mirror with hands, Werkstatte Hagenauer Vienna, ca. 1970, brass, nickel-plated, marked
Out of stock
With this table mirror, Werkstatte Hagenauer designs a utility object in a unique style. The work originates from the series of popular, flat executed representations, which the Werkstatte Hagenauer produced in the 1970s from nickel-plated brass.
An elongated, flat mirror glass rises from a plinth. It almost seems as if the two reduced hands are lovingly embracing the mirror. As an affectionate detail, a few rows of circular ornaments are displayed on the wrist, suggesting a pearl ornament. Apart from the elongated fingernails, the hand is completely structureless and smooth.
