Liegender Frauenakt Franz Hagenauer um 1980

The reclining female nude is certainly one of Franz Hagenauer’s most extravagant creations. Carried by the water, the seemingly weightless woman is depicted with elegantly elongated, almost filigree limbs, her raised arms formed into a perfect semicircle.
The motif of the nude on waves shows Hagenauer’s playful imaginativeness, especially in his late creative phase at the beginning of the 1980s. Among the products of Werkstätte Hagenauer we find exact this model as table clock with a round clock case in the raised arms of the reclined figure.
