    Description

Blowing his hunting horn with enthusiasm, the rider leads the hunting party, while the excited hounds dance around his horse. One hunting dog has already picked up a scent, driving the chase further up the hillside.

Franz Hagenauer designed this multi-figure hunting scene in 1937 with remarkable vitality and attention to detail. The piece was later executed in the 1950s.

Both elegant and playful, the depiction of the animals captures their energy, while the ascending wooden plinth enhances the dynamic movement of the parforce hunt.
