    Description

In the late 1920s, Werkstätte Hagenauer steadily expanded its range, increasingly incorporating everyday items and functional objects into its collection. As early as the 1928 sales catalog, bookends were given their own dedicated page. More than twenty different models are featured—many adorned with animal motifs.
The design of our model showcases one of Hagenauer’s particularly popular equestrian motifs. The small scene depicts a rider on horseback, accompanied by a decorative floral element.

This fusion of artistic form and practical function reflects the creative versatility and inventive spirit that so distinctly characterize the designs of Werkstätte Hagenauer.
