    Description

Between 1925 and 1935, the production of figurative small sculptures in brass by Karl and Franz Hagenauer reached its peak. At the same time, the product range of the Hagenauer workshop expanded to include a variety of small decorative and functional items. The brass casting process enabled the serial production of these objects, with the raw casts often being meticulously hand-finished. In addition to elegant tableware, such as cups, covers, and bowls, the offering also included ashtrays and smoking accessories.
Our ashtray was produced in various versions, with the combination featuring the Harlequin figure being one of the rarer variations. The figure is documented in the pattern books of the Hagenauer workshop through a drawing.
