    Description

Before 1900, Johann Loetz Witwe glassworks began experimenting with the production of its first Phenomen Genres. These designs were among the most intricate and luxurious surface treatments offered by Loetz.

T Phenomen Genre 7766 decor featured on our vase was created around 1898 and is considered exceptionally rare. The design starts with an amber-toned “bronze” underlay applied to a colourless base layer, forming the glass’s primary hue. This is overlaid with silver-yellow, vertically stretched, and partially swirled crumb melts.

The vase is distinguished by ist conical body, funnel-shaped neck, and square, multiple-pinched mouth. An ornate, openwork metal mounting with two handles and four feet provides an elegant frame for this piece.
