The architect and designer Leopold Bauer was particularly fond of this decor, employing it in his elegantly restrained and geometrically simplified vessel designs. Produced in a wide range of colour combinations, orangeopal with Green proved to be one of the most popular and commercially successful variants.<\/p>\n<p>This vase features a deep green ground overlaid with a second layer of orange opal glass. A finely trailed layer of silver glass, referred to internally by the Loetz glassworks as Stahlgrau (&#8220;steel grey&#8221;), was then applied.
