Whether as rather static horse heads or dynamic representations of galloping or rising steeds, we find many variations executed in different materials throughout the entire production period.
\nThis jumping horse is a cast model and served as a prototype for serial production. It shows a horse jumping with bent forelegs and stretched hind legs, as if performing a capriole. Only with his head stretched in the air, it probably is a freer interpretation of the classic dressage figure.
\nThe sculpture is executed in full cast brass and some patches with lead fillings still testify to its use as a prototype. Such pre-models are very rare to find on the market. This specific copy was on display in the sample room of Werkstatte Hagenauer in Vienna and is also well documented by a design drawing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
Jumping horse cast model, Werkstatte Hagenauer Vienna, circa 1935, patinated brass, marked<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":20258,"template":"","meta":[],"product_brand":[],"product_cat":[416],"product_tag":[],"class_list":["post-20281","product","type-product","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","product_cat-werkstaette-hagenauer-wien-en","first","outofstock","shipping-taxable","product-type-simple"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/kolhammer.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/product\/20281","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/kolhammer.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/product"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/kolhammer.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/product"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/kolhammer.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/20258"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/kolhammer.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=20281"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"product_brand","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/kolhammer.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/product_brand?post=20281"},{"taxonomy":"product_cat","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/kolhammer.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/product_cat?post=20281"},{"taxonomy":"product_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/kolhammer.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/product_tag?post=20281"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
