He became a member of the artist’s association Hagenbund and the Gesellschaft Bildender Künste. He is renowned for his magnificent sunsets and atmospheric, almost meditative landscapes.
In this painting Kasparides chooses a characteristic color palette: rich green-yellow contrasts with the purple, pink and blue pastel tones of the evening sky. A streamlet leads us from the birch grove straight into the wood into the background, where in the sky, a majestic cloud wraps around the towers of the church. As covered in a haze, the church, and towers of Klosterneuburg Abbey appear in the far distance. The peaceful evening atmosphere invites the viewer to linger and pause, enjoying the idyll.

Eduard Kasparides (1858 – 1926), “Klosterneuburg” (Klosterneuburg Abbey in autumn), ca. 1915, oil on canvas on cardboard, signed

[385

post-16944","product","type-product","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","product_cat-fine-art","first","outofstock","shipping-taxable","product-type-simple
["GET
