    Description

With taking over his father’s company in 1928, Karl Hagenauer changed the assortment according to the customer’s taste. Reduced representations of animals become recurring motifs which, despite their stylized reduction, show remarkably beautiful details.

The typical design features on this elegant brass horse are its finely worked nostrils, mane, and tail. With its curved forms, the statuette appears dynamic and graceful at the same time.

The figurine was offered by Werkstatte Hagenauer, both as a single horse sculpture, and with a rider as an extraordinary base for a table lamp.
