    Description

In 1900, the company Johann Loetz-Witwe Klostermühle made its international breakthrough at the world exhibition in Paris with its richly coloured glasses.
The decor variant Medici or Phenomen Gre 2/484 was very successful for the Loetz company. The combination of strongly shimmering silver oxide tongues and bright colours precisely met the taste of their customers.
Our piece is particularly finely executed. The surface is highly iridescent from the base to the open neck. The four symmetrically arranged indentations make this iridescence particularly apparent. Individual spots on the vase absorb the light in different ways and accordingly shimmer in contrasting shades.
