    Description

Mischievously the young man smiles at us. His narrow eyes finely carved, emphasize the appearance of an “Indian boy”. His turban, nicely tied from bright wood, makes his complexion appear even darker. Sloping shoulders give the young man a certain nonchalance. The finely draped cloth, made from shiny brass, emphasizes the contrast to the darkly stained wood. His hands clasped behind the back are delicately executed.
In the Hagenauer sales catalogue from 1957, this figure is described as a ” Hindoo-boy”. Once again, the Werkstatte Hagenauer demonstrates its virtuosic craftsmanship of wood and brass.
